The Stampington Challenge is to write a short story or poem about this image. Here is my story.
Beauty
Beauty is often found when we are not looking and I think
that is why we appreciate it so much when we discover it. Look at the hands
of the old woman with the polished nails and her rings still on her fingers and look at the hands of the child with the
toy. I don't just see the contrast in their hands, I actually imagine the child
sharing a story about his toy and the woman intently listening like it's the
most fascinating thing she's ever heard about. Looking at her hands I can
almost see her face and feel the love in her heart. When she's gone this is a memory the child will keep. submitted by Patty Smith pssmittyfavs.blogspot.com
